We all know that Guy the Gnome is a psychotic madman, the nut job confirms that with every word he types in chat. He’s over-the-top aggressive, abusive, delusional, megalomaniacal, a consummate liar and often incoherent. What drives his mania? Well, either he’s just plain fuckin’ nuts in the head, or he’s doing a drug and alcohol cocktail that’s frying his nasty little gnome brain. Or maybe it’s a combo of both.
If he’s into the alcohol/cocaine cocktail, he’s riding a fast train to an early death, Read on.
Alcohol and cocaine
A common but particularly dangerous partnership, alcohol and cocaine together increase the risk of heart attacks and fits and even sudden death. The two drugs interact to produce a highly toxic substance in your liver called cocaethylene. It can increase the depressive effects of alcohol, making your reaction to the cocaine stronger. You’re also more likely to be aggressive with cocaethylene in your system.

The effects of taking cocaine and alcohol together are far more dangerous than taking either drug alone. Cocaethylene is formed when alcohol and cocaine meet in the liver. This ‘metabolite’ remains in the body much longer, subjecting the heart and liver to a prolonged period of stress. That’s why some of the recorded deaths from Cocaethylene occur up to 12 hours after the user has mixed substances. The risk of sudden death is 18 times greater when alcohol and cocaine are used together. And what’s even worse is that you can’t see it coming, you could be feeling completely fine one minute and the next minute, BANG.
