First Owen then CFP said I alter IMs and save them in the Yahoo online archive, and that it is so easy, even a ten-year-old can do it.
When Owen said it I opened Yahoo messenger, went to Conversation History and tried it. Nope, can’t be done, the SAVE function is disabled. It makes sense that Yahoo would prevent people from downloading stuff to the Yahoo online message archive. I don’t think Yahoo wants viruses in their databases. ONLY THE ORIGINAL MESSAGES ARE STORED IN THE YAHOO ONLINE MESSAGE ARCHIVE.
I actually paid a visit to Yahoo Live Help Chat and asked them about saving altered stuff to Yahoo archives:
you can ask em yourself, just go here:
ASK:
Can items in conversation history be edited then saved back to the online archive?
